Water invites us forward. What begins at the shoreline soon becomes something deeper—a passage from the familiar into the unknown. The viewer is drawn into the movement, rhythm, and mystery

Fox built the work through layered applications of oil and cold wax, creating a surface rich with texture, transparency, and change. The distant cliffs provide a destination, but the true subject is the journey itself: the moment we leave the shallows behind and venture into deeper waters, both literal and metaphorical.
