Blue Days

Artist Statement for

Blue Days

Blue Days explores the quiet weight of time when emotions move like tides—sometimes steady, sometimes overwhelming. The color blue here is not only a hue but a state of being: expansive as sky, reflective as water, and heavy as memory.

In this piece, I sought to balance stillness with motion, layering texture and depth so that the surface holds both serenity and turbulence. The work invites the viewer to linger, to notice how light shifts across the surface and how mood shifts within themselves.

For me, Blue Days is less about sadness and more about truth—the honesty of being present with one’s inner landscape. It is about the way we weather shadows and find unexpected clarity in them.
